Spotify Playlist
Jack has put together a playlist of some of the tracks he’s been listening to recently:
1. Andrew bird – plasticites / “this isn’t your song, it isn’t your music” but its some of the most inspiring song writing I have heard
2. Clipse – momma i’m so sorry / they won me over with they’re classical references…the “young black socrates”
3. Wild beasts – we still got the taste dancin’ on our tongues / this song is like a yorkshire spaghetti western soundtrack like clint eastwood growing up in Kendal
4. James brown – get up offa that thing / dance music doesn’t get betta than this
5. Suicide – ghost rider / i pretend i have a black harley d and i just got back from nam when i hear this
6. The band – it makes no difference / heart breaking vocals by rick danko
7. Paul mcartney – temporary secretary / old macca doing techno…is there anything he can’t do?
8. Fugazi – waiting room / i really hate the dentist too
9. Slum village – raise it up / it mentions the name ‘titus’ in it, so me and my brother, Titus, got pretty obsessed with this song, j dilla’s on top form
10. Billy Joel – We didn’t start the fire / i did kareoke in toyko and we sung this song. until then i hadn’t realised how cool the lyrics were
11. Can – vitamin c / germans never sounded better
12. Talking heads – naive melody (this must be the place) / the antidote to homesickness
